The Troy Arts Council (TAC) was organized in 1972 with the goal of encouraging and stimulating the growth, development, and appreciation of the arts in Troy and Pike County. This organization is committed to artistic enrichment through visual and performance arts. Each year, a variety of programs are offered in order to suite all tastes and backgrounds.

The TAC is totally dependant on funding from the City of Troy, the Patrons of the Arts, and Corporate Sponsors along with the Alabama State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment of the Arts.
