This department covers all planning functions such as zoning ordinance compliance and revisions, zoning and subdivision regulations, mapping, traffic control, code enforcement, site plan review and building permits, Planning Commission interface, Board of Adjustment staff support, the Comprehensive Plan, and long and short-range planning.

      Community development functions such as project administration and public participation programs also fall under the purview of the Planning Department.
