How and About Us

 

     The Department of Public Relations and Tourism is responsible for all public information programming for the City of Troy and surrounding areas. Responsibilities of this department include:

• Managing all media relations and serving as a City of Troy spokesperson

• Serving as the contact point for public information

• Developing and implementing programs and special events for the City of Troy  

• Managing the merchandising programs for the city and numerous City of Troy Facilities

• Implementing and managing tourism projects

• Producing and coordinating all advertising for the City of  Troy

• Serving as the marketing coordinator for the City of Troy

• Serving as the liaison with the community to address their needs and concerns

 

    Troy's Public Relations and Tourism Department is located in the heart of downtown Troy, directly across the street from the beautiful new Cultural Arts Center. Director Shelia Jackson and her assistant Catherine Jordan stand ready and willing to assist you with planning a trip to the area or with organizing an event.
