Overview and Mission

Troy's Public Relations and Tourism Department, headed by Sheila Jackson, is constantly striving to create and promote a positive image for Troy and Pike County through media outreach, web site development, and the aggressive marketing and promotion of the city's various attractions, programs and community activities. Public Relations Assistant Catherine Jordan and a team of volunteers work alongside the director to aggressively pursue advertisement/publicity/editorial coverage in national, regional and local press, and to market the area's attractions and events to travelers, including performing and visual arts, history and culture, adventure and recreation, sports, dining, shopping, and other activities. Our goal is to enhance the lifestyles of residents and to make Troy and the Pike County area one of the best places in the world to live or to visit.
