     Department

  The City of Troy currently serves over 6,500 customers, which equates to about 100 million gallons of water each month.  The City of Troy produces all water necessary for consumption. Many other cities in the Southeast must purchase water to meet their needs.

  Billy Stubbs is the supervisor for the City of Troy Water Department. Mr. Stubbs has been with the City since 1970.  He began his career as a meter reader and has progressed to his current position as Senior Foreman - responsible for the City of Troy's entire water system.  

  With a crew of seven, the Water Department is responsible for the overall integrity of the water distribution system, installation of residential and commercial meters, and the general maintenance of the sewer lines and manholes.
